BENEFITING: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
ORGANIZER: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
On November 6th, I will be running the TCS New York City Marathon. I was lucky enough to gain a number directly through the NYC Marathon lottery process. However, if I'm going to run 26.2 miles, I want to help raise money for a chairty that is important to me on a personal level. I am once again raising funds for The Organization for Autism Research - OAR. I chose to raise money for OAR in honor of my nephew, Joseph. Joseph was diagnosed with autism as a toddler. He is now 21 years old and attends the League School in Walpole, MA. My family has been blessed to have Joseph in our life. He has shown us all what unconditional love truly is.
OAR was created in December 2001–the product of the shared vision and unique life experiences of OAR’s seven founders. Led by these parents and grandparents of children and adults on the autism spectrum, OAR set out to use applied science to answer questions that parents, families, individuals with autism, teachers and caregivers confront daily. No other autism organization has this singular focus.
If you are able, please support the efforts of The Organization for Autism Research.
