BENEFITING: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
ORGANIZER: ORGANIZATION FOR AUTISM RESEARCH
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
After running my first marathon in 2014, I never thought I would do it again, but here I am!! I am really excited to be running the NYC marathon and honored to be running it for autism! I am running these 26.2 miles for Nico and Chris, my twin nephews- who's birthday is on November 6th---on marathon day!
I was lucky to spend some time with them this summer, and I am so happy to see how they are growing and becoming these amazing boys. As a new mom, I am in awe of the effort, love and devotion that my brother and sister-in-law pour on these two every day, and how difficult and challenging it must be. Seeing how their little sister embraces them with love and devotion is beyond inspiring.
I've decided to dedicate each mile to fund a graduate student to research autism through OAR! I hope you can help me reach my goal: $1,300 ($50 for every mile!) to support OAR's effort of researching autism.
Here are a few fun donations:
$26.20 or one dollar per mile
$20 for Nico & Chris's age combined (they turn 10 on marathon day!)
$XX.XX for your guess-timate of my race pace (so far my best/worse have been 9:00 / 11:00)
$XXX for your guess-timate of how many minutes it will take me to cross the finish line (hint: I ran 18 miles in 3 hours)
You can sponsor a whole mile!! ($50) or two ($100) if you are thinking about twins!!
Thank you so much for your support! And if you're in NYC come cheer me on November 6th!!
