Too often our disabled veterans are forgotten after they served so faithfully. For many veterans their disabilities occur after their separation from the service, so the V.A. may not be able to help them.
Many veterans with a mobility challenge have difficulty just entering and exiting their homes. When this is the case they may simply avoid leaving home all-together, contributing to feelings of isolation and depression.
However, with an AMO-Ramp, these veterans can gain a sense of well being as a result of better access to opportunities for social interaction and a greater sense of self sufficiency.
Today most of us do not know our neighbors and are unaware if someone is need of a helping hand. This is why we need your help to spread the word and raise awareness. Get to know those who served and others in need in your neighborhood
