The Open Arm Foundation is a registered 501(C)3 Charitable Tax-Exempt organization. Our purpose is to
provide community and economic development, training and resources for homeless, disadvantaged and atrisk
children and out of school emerging adults (graduate or dropout) ages 16-24 and their families in the
Chicagoland area, primarily the Southside of Chicago residing in the Washington Heights and Roseland
Communities along with afterschool tutoring for school age children. The Open Arm Foundation focuses on
helping children who live in high-crime, at-risk communities. Our goal is to not only increase their reading and
math scores but to have healthy sustainable lives by reducing the effects of poverty and poor hygiene. Our
mission is based on research on the effects that the lack of basic sustainable living essentials; as well as,
observing the effects of these condition on the lives of children firsthand.
