BENEFITING: ONE MISSION INC
ORGANIZER: ONE MISSION INC
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Dear Friends, Family and Business Associates and Partners,
Most of you will recall my efforts over the last few years running the Boston Marathon to raise funds for One Mission. Thanks to the generous support and contributions that many of you have made, together we have been able to raise $100,000 for families living through the struggle of pediatric cancer. At that time, my wish was to help those patients in need, to lessen the burden of treatment, and make like easier for the unfortunate families facing the battle against pediatric cancer. Collectively, we have made a significant difference in the lives of many by offering immediate assistance to children and their families through programs and services, including the dedication of a Resource Room at Boston Children’s Hospital – all in an effort to make a bad prognosis more livable.
I had always taken my role as a sponsor of One Mission as a way to give back and act as a conduit to help those struggling with the real life expenses of such a ruthless disease. It is hard to understand the debilitating struggle that awaits a family living with cancer until you realize it has happened to you. From that day forward, all of your focus turns to how to solve the problem but unfortunately it is just not that simple. When I committed to run the New York City Marathon being held on November 6th, I had no other thought than running to support One Mission. As life would have it, it has turned into a much bigger mission. Most of you know that my Dad has been recently diagnosed with a form of pediatric cancer. Obviously, a diagnosis he is going to beat. This news had a paralyzing effect on me but seeing his drive and determination in fighting this head-on with grace and strength has renewed my energy and purpose to help others and to support the efforts of One Mission.
This year, I dedicate this run to my Dad and ask that you consider a gift in the name of Kevin Giblin for One Mission – God-willing he will be there not only at the finish line but for many more to come.
Please make a contribution today via this page or by sending a check to:
One Mission, 1881 Worcester Road, Suite 204, Framingham, MA 01701
If you send a check, please be sure to put “In honor of Kevin Giblin” or simply “Brendon Giblin” in the memo line.
I am so very grateful for your love and support.
Brendon P. Giblin
