Under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, all children are granted the rights to be protected from all forms of sexual exploitation and to have a say in matters that affect them. Taking a children’s rights-based approach, we consider children to be full, empowered citizens and agents of change, not just beneficiaries of help.
We know that young people have a tremendous power to change the world, and if they’re presented with the right tools and information, they will do just that. That’s why we act as a catalyst to mobilize an amazing but often overlooked force: children and youth. We know that young people needguidance and support, so OneChild looks toward parents, educators, and other adult supporters to forge a youth-adult partnership with the goal of ending the sexual exploitation of children and child sex trafficking.
