My name is Erin Collins and I am in the 11th grade at St. Pius X.
5 years and 9 months ago my good friend Patrick Chance died of neuroblastoma, a harsh type of cancer, on his 9th birthday. Patrick put up a hard 6 year fight against cancer and is the strongest boy I have ever met in my life. While he was fighting, him and his family spread great awareness about childhood cancer and raised (and continue to raise) a huge amount of money.
One year ago I ran a half marathon and raised close to 6,000 dollars in honor of Burke Bowie, another childhood cancer patient. Burke is now in remission and all of his scans have recently come back clear! I #DidItForBurke!
In March of 2018 I am running another half marathon in honor of Patrick Chance. My goal is to raise $7,500. I know that is going to be a hard goal to meet but with your help I know can do it. Please consider donating money or even just prayers for all cancer patients out there! Press On!
We all miss and love u buddy!!
