I'm hosting a donation yoga class at CorePower to support Soccer Without Borders, an amazing non-profit that supports newcomer youth in the Baltimore area, and I'd love to see you there!
Soccer Without Borders uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change by providing refugee, asylee, and immigrant youth with year-round soccer programming, academic support (specifically English language development), and leadership opportunities. The students that participate in SWB's programs come from up to 25 different countries and speak up to 15 different languages!
I've had the amazing opportunity to work as a Fellow at SWB this summer and have absolutely loved it -- I have grown very passionate for the organization and its cause. The community that SWB provides for these students and the compassion amongst the kids is heart-warming. Many of the students have experienced things that are hard to even imagine, and their resilience is incredibly inspiring.
In order to spread the word about SWB and continue supporting their mission, I'll be sweating for change at a yoga sculpt class at CorePower’s Brewers Hill location on August 10th at 5:45 pm. To help raise much-needed funds for this amazing organization, I’m amping my efforts with Positive Tracks, an organization that teaches young people how to sweat for good. In addition to providing hands-on guidance and helping me organize, they’re doubling my dollars to support newcomer youth in the Baltimore area, up to $1,000! You don’t need to be a yoga guru to support Soccer Without Borders and get your donation doubled! Even if you can't make it to the event but still want to show your support, feel free to offer any donation through this page.
Thank you, and I hope to see you there!
