Hi Everyone! My name is Ziva (AKA ALICE) I was rescued from County by Saving Paws Rescue AZ on January 24, 2020. My first family surrendered me after I sustained an injury to my paw resulting in it breaking and having open wounds/sores that just wont heal. The vet at county wanted to amputate my leg, but Saving Paws Rescue was trying their darndest to save my paw and leg. Sadly, the attempts to bandage and brace my paw for the last several weeks hasnt help me and now I must have my leg amuptated to the shoulder. My FOSTER/ADOPT Mommy, Tammie Ferguson has taken me into her home to take care of me and eventually become part of their forever family with Mark and Thomas, and 2 kitties names Jewel and Grace. (more about my feline sisters later) So, here we are, having to ask for help from all of you , because my saviors, Saving Paws Rescue has recently spent THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of DOLLARS on my K9 brothers and sisters helping them with their spinal surgeries and broken legs and even Parvo right now. I need to have my leg taken care of as soon as possible, so we are scheduling the surgery but we really need all of you to donate any amount of money to me as you're able to offer. I am eternally grateful to everyone for all the help I have gotten so far..but now I need a little bit more.. As you all know, there is always a risk of complications and infection and days and days of staying in the hospital with the amazing vet techs who love on me, pet me, give me tasty treats and tell me I'm a good dog! All of this great care for me can get quite expensive. I'm going to turn this over to my F/A Mom Tammie now, so she can share some of the details now. I look foreward to living a long, happy and healthy life with my loving family. Thank you all so much! WOOF!
Well now that you have met Ziva, you can see why we love her so much! She really is a great dog who loves just being a puppy. It is really sad and angers me a great deal that she was injured and surrendered, but we understand, not everyone can take care of these babes the way they need to be so, we are happy to take over from here and give her a great life.. 3 legged dogs traditionally do very well with a few modifications. We are committed to Ziva (aka ALICE) forever. The rescue has been amazing trying to give her all the chances possible, she so rightly deserves. Sadly, it has come down to the Vet at Southwest Veterinary Services, PC and his recommendation to amputate my paw. We should have a total estimate soon but have started out with a goal of 5,000.00 to start. Should we get lucky and be under that amount, the remaining amounts would be used for the many other dogs that Saving Paws is taking care of and helping. Thank you for reading Ziva's story and for any consideration of help, PLEASE SHARE THIS everyplace possible and allowed.. we are so Thankful and Grateful for everyones help.
