Did you know that Zimbabwe is home to the world’s second largest population of African elephants? Sadly, these majestic animals face an uncertain future due to illegal poaching and an increasing loss of habitat.
Fortunately, the Zambezi Elephant Fund (ZEF) is working to mitigate these threats. ZEF works with local authorities across the Zambezi Valley to protect the elephants and other wildlife by working to preserve their habitat. In addition, ZEF understands the importance of community development and fostering meaningful education and economic activity in the most threatened areas.
With an eye on the future, ZEF is establishing Conservation Clubs for Zimbabwean youth to develop future leaders and to educate school children in the region about specific environmental issues relevant to their communities.
Girl Scout Troop 13536 invites you to support ZEF either with a purchase from our Holiday Sale or a direct donation to ZEF through Global Wildlife Conservation, its American fiscal agent. Our troop will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of our products to the ZEF Conservation Club.
On behalf of ZEF, thank you for your support!
