The city of Zagreb (capital of Croatia) was struck by a powerful 5.5 Richter scale earthquake earlier today (Sunday 3/22/2020). Initial reports indicate significant and widespread damage to buildings and infrastructure, with numerous injured individuals.
Please consider making a donation to support rapid purchase of immediately needed personal protective equipment (PPE) and rescue material/consumables for the Zagreb Fire Department who are serving on the front lines of the double earthquake and COVID19 emergencies.
In the midst of COVID19 pandemic, the earthquake has further strained the city's first responders - primarily firefighters - who are quickly exhausting available personal protective equipment and consumable rescue material. This crisis will be exacerbated by the expected dramatic increase in COVID19 cases in the next 2-3 weeks. We need to act now.
Thank you from Zagreb's first responder community!
