Hey, everyone! For the 12th year in a row, I'm doing a fundraiser for my favorite charity. I started working with them in 2009, and now because of the pandemic, things are working differently. This time around, if you donate at least $15, you'll be eligible to win a custom A2000 baseball glove from Wilson! Keep reading for more info about the glove and this charity and why they really REALLY need your help right now . . .
Founded in 2005, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball believes that baseball and softball are effective tools for youth development. Not only do they give kids a chance to be a kid and play, but they also help to create healthy communities, break down barriers, and instill valuable life lessons. PIFBS aims to bring communities together by collecting and redistributing much needed baseball/softball equipment to groups serving under-resourced children. Since 2005, PIFBS has donated more than $10 million in equipment to help more than 1 million kids play ball in every state and 100 countries worldwide.
Recently, our demand for equipment has tripled since the CDC instituted stricter guidelines for the return to safe play during the COVID pandemic. Sharing equipment is prohibited, so all children must have their own to be able to participate in local leagues. Please help us meet the demand to ensure that every child can safely take the field in 2021 and enjoy baseball and softball during such a difficult time.
Now, about that custom glove . . . the more you donate, the better your chances will be to win. Basically, for every $15 that you give, your name will get added to the drawing, so in other words, a $15 donation will get you into it once and a $45 donation will get you in there three times, tripling your odds of being picked. Donations that are made by 11:59pm ET on December 1, 2020 will qualify, and the winner will be picked randomly and announced on my social media (Twitter/Instagram/TikTok = @zack_hample) on December 2, 2020. If you win, I will put you in touch with someone at the charity who will guide you through the process of designing your own custom glove on the Wilson website -- pretty cool huh? Anyway, thanks for being part of this!
