Not a day passes that we don't help a survivor of domestic violence.
Our first point of contact might be a call on the crisis line or a counseling appointment with a woman still living with her abuser. It might be in the middle of the night, when a mother arrives at emergency shelter. Or it could be at the courthouse, where we assist survivors with the intimidating process of getting an Order of Protection. No matter the circumstances, we're here. Access to services, counseling, legal advocacy, and longer-term housing make a real difference in survivors’ ability to safely break free from violence, heal from abuse and lead self-sufficient lives. For survivors in our 16-community catchment area, the services provided by YWCA Evanston/ North Shore are critical. Your gift in any amount will make a difference. Thank you!
