Your gift of any amount will help brighten the holidays for 40 young language learners ages 1-18 at the Yuchi Language Project (501c3 non-profit). This year the children and youth made huge strides in revitalizing the Yuchi language and restoring the cultural health of the community:
-gave speeches during ‘EaPAnE (Yuchi Green Corn Ceremonies)
-received first place awards at the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair
-hosted the 8th Annual Yuchi Knowledge Bowl
-planted a butterfly garden
-participated in the 2019 United Nations International Year of Indigenous Languages

Learn more at: www.yuchilanguage.org The Yuchi language is unique, highly endangered, and unrelated to any other Indigenous language. It is the Mission of the Yuchi Language Project to keep alive the rich heritage of the Yuchi people by creating new young speakers of our unique language through breath-to-breath immersion methods with fluent Elders and youth. With your support, our program will be able to fulfill the vision of our Elders to pass the knowledge of the Yuchi language to future generations. yUdjEha nAnô, sôKAnÂnô.
