Young-Williams is the official animal shelter for Knoxville and Knox County, Tennessee, and we take in about 10,000 animals annually. In the past few years, we have made huge strides toward achieving "no kill" status, which is no small feat for a municipal shelter in the South! Last year, we reunited 1,437 lost pets with their families, found new loving homes for 5,772 pets, and our low-cost spay/neuter program broke 75,000 public spay/neuters for the most at-risk pets in our community. That's a lot of litters prevented!
We need all of the support that we can get to continue growing our life-saving programs like fostering, adoption, low-cost spay/neuter, and our new Pet Resource Center to keep more pets in their homes by helping owners during times of need.
