Young Artist Theatre is a summer camp for kids where they learn solid technique in dance, theatre, researching character and story, and rehearsing for a production. At the end of the camp, the kids produce an excellent production for the community. But even more important, they have grown together as their own community and as individuals. The Foundation of Arts wants first to help the kids learn how to grow as artists in community by increasing their individual skill sets and working together as teammates. Although the FOA provides tuition waiver opportunities to students so that cost need not be a large factor in the family's decision for their child to participate, the production does have significant expenses, and ticket sales are important to keep the Foundation of Arts strong enough to offer ongoing help for families in the future.
In today's culture, the COVID19 crisis has hindered the FOA's ability to open up our theatre to the hundred's of people necessary to offset the cost of production and Foundation of Arts' operational expenses. There is little promise of ticket sales or even the ability to sell more than 50 tickets for a production. Please help our Young Artist Theatre students to be able to perform their show, and help the FOA to stay open for future students' education and shows, as well.
