Sometimes when pet parents are not able to care for themselves, they are not able to care for their fur-babies. These little seven Yorkie's were taken from the home by Anchorage Animal Care and Control when Adult Protective Services stepped in to assist their owner. The Yorkies were in a very bad situation. Because they were in need of rescue, socialization and medical care, Kitty and K-9 Connection was asked to rescue them. We were honored to accept these seven little distraught Yorkies into rescue. They were immediately groomed (by a very kind Animal Control Officer) and since in rescue, have been receiving medical treatment required. They are receiving treatment for dry eye, antibiotics for infection, spays and neuters, x-rays (for damages limbs) and blood work, etc. They are not socialized, house broken and tend to hide - this has been a very stressful transition for them. We are very happy to have them in rescue but could use some financial assistance with their vet bills. So far, $8000.00 has been spent to improve their health. They will need continual vet care and funds are depleting. If you are able to donate to their future care, your donation would be so very appreciated! Any amount would help! Thank you for sharing and caring!
