The Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve maintains public access to iconic wilderness areas in our region, and it is clear how crucial these refuges are to public health and well-being. However, the events of the past several weeks have made our mission much more difficult.
As a small grassroots nonprofit, we depend on memberships, donations, fundraising events, and volunteers to keep our programs active. We rely on volunteers and interns to help us monitor the health of our waters and lands, but state restrictions have put a halt to their involvement. Planned education and outreach events, which are fundraising opportunities, have been cancelled. In addition, our spring 2020 membership drive has been interrupted because of the pandemic’s economic impact on individuals’ lives.
In order to fulfill our mission as stewards of these resources that are there for the public to use for rejuvenation and health, we need your help. If you are able, please consider donating to this matching fund campaign.
