This June, I joined YCore, a program created to mobilize young professionals to get involved in the social sector. YCore was founded in 2014 by a group of Stanford alumni, and since then has mobilized 250+ young professionals who have donated 12,000 hours to over 30 community-based nonprofits in the Bay Area.
In YCore's four-month, after-work program, YCore fellows gain the tools to impact their communities now and for the rest of their lives. We partner with community-based nonprofits to build capacity through project work; learn about social justice and design thinking for social change; and join a community of like-minded peers.
Over the four months in the program, I'll be working with a nonprofit called Larkin Street Youth Services focused on solving youth homelessness in San Francisco to redesign their website, simplifying their site navigation to increase donations.
Each Fellow commits to raising $1500 - $2000 to support YCore and activate the next generation of champions for just communities. I would greatly appreciate your support! :)
