Hello Friends and Family -
Please support my 2018 Boston Marathon run to raise money for the Youth Advocacy Foundation (YAF). The Youth Advocacy Foundation (YAF) is the parent organization of The EdLaw Project, whose mission is to shut down the School-to-Prison Pipeline by ensuring that Massachusetts’ most vulnerable children and youth have equitable access to a quality education through expert legal advocacy.
I have run the Boston Marathon many times in the past to raise money for worthy causes. This is my most personal endeavor yet. I left a successful career in the financial services industry to go back to law school at age 51 so that I could advocate for kids. As an attorney at The EdLaw Project, I am representing low-income youth with disabilities across Massachusetts whose needs are not being met in school. Every dollar raised by my run will insure that I can continue to do this work. Also, I just turned 60 and want to prove that I have one more marathon left in me. The ability to raise money for a cause that means so much to me is just the motivation I need to make this possible.
As the weeks and miles go by, I will provide updates on my training and on client successes. Stay tuned.
Please help continue the great work of The EdLaw Project by making a donation of any size to support my run. Your support helps me log the miles.
With my sincere, heartfelt thanks,
