Our Knights of Columbus Council 11873 (East Brunswick, NJ 08816) is soliciting donations as a fundraiser for Wreaths Across America (WAA)......a national non profit organization whose mission is to place wreaths on graves of our deceased veterans nationwide on December 19, 2020 across all USA military cemeteries. Last year, (on December 14) over 2 million volunteers of WAA placed wreaths on 2.2 million veterans' final resting places at 2,158 locations globally (with 254,000 of them at Arlington National Cemetery).
WAA Donations collected by our Knights of Columbus Council will be used to place wreaths on the graves of deceased veterans on December 19, 2020 at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery located in Arneytown, NJ as part of a national wreath laying ceremony.
We do this for our veterans and serving military because WE OWE THEM......our Freedom, our Gratitude, our Future and our Thank You for their service. And we PLEDGE TO Remember the fallen and the sacrifice of many, Honor those who serve and their families, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom and inspire in them a commitment to preserve it.
As stated by Karen Worcester, Executive Director of Wreaths Across America: "We are not here to 'decorate graves'. We are here to remember not their deaths, but their lives."
COST PER WREATH $15.00........but any donation made will be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made by Credit card through the GoFundMe link provided and are 100% tax deductible.
All donations must be received no later than end of day, Thursday, October 15, 2020 (cut-off date for donations).
