DONATE to help build the second anniversary event of Women's March Tennessee -- The 2019 #WomensWaveTN #PowerTogetherTN Rally in Nashville, TN, on January 19, 2019!
We are raising money for the second anniversary of the historic 2017 Women's March event in Nashville, TN. #WomensWave in Nashville on 1.19.19 will include political demonstrations and a huge rally with music, dance, and amazing speakers to inspire our communities - and those new to our movements - to more robust participation with our diverse movements for justice, and greater civic engagement during 2019/2020.
Small and large donations built this transformative event in 2017 and 2018. When we come together, we build political and social power - we also get inspired and motivated! This year's event is centered around a huge rally in the afternoon and costs associated include porta-potties, security, permit fees, staging, and printing. Your donation will bring this event to life and is tax deductible.
Individuals and organizations can also become a sponsor of this year's event and help us build an equitable and just future in Tennessee. Our fiscal sponsor for the 2019 event is the Nashville Peace and Justice Center (NPJC), a registered Tennessee 501(c)3. Contact email@example.com to claim your place as an official sponsor of the #WomensWaveTN event.

OUR Nashville STORY
Year one: Jan 2017, “Power Together TN, in solidarity with Women’s March on Washington.” Our greatest dream was that our sister march would galvanize our progressive Tennessee communities in powerful and sustainable ways. We hoped for 3k -- and 20k showed up! The march generated incredible momentum from our grassroots base, signaling a fundamental challenge by women and their allies in Tennessee and across the country to political business-as-usual. At WMTN-Power Together, we began to organize ourselves for sustainable work as an all volunteer, free association of people, coming together to be a force for good in Tennessee.
Year two: Jan 2018, “Women’s March 2.0: Power Together TN.” Thanks to the support of our community, we sustained year one participation levels, demonstrating the community’s continued interest in an annual WM event. We have grown our coalition to over 100 community organizations. We continue to develop our chapter and collaborate with other groups on direct actions, crisis response, phone and email campaigns, leadership development, legislative outreach, voter registration and canvassing, candidate and campaign support - and more!
Year three: Jan 2019, “Women’s March Tennessee: #WomensWaveTN #PowerTogetherTN” Join us -- our story is still being written and we want you to claim your page in the next chapter as we roll out #WomensAgenda - a bold policy and legislative platform for 2019, 2020, and beyond.
