Please donate to the Winship SPC General Fund to help provide funding for Winship students! Through family engagement, community outreach, advocacy, and fundraising, the Winship School Parent Council (SPC) supports the principal, teachers, and staff to provide a nurturing, dynamic, and innovative learning environment for all Winship Elementary School students. We organize and fund many events for the students that were previously not being offered including parties at start and end of year, bingo nights, movie nights, dance-a-thons, playground meet-ups and coffee meet-ups. We have also provided each grade with the funds to take all students on a field trip each year. We also bring programming to the school including visiting animal shows to learn about owls or reptiles, and we continue to cultivate and build the best outdoor classroom for on-site hands-on gardening where students work year-round to learn about the life cycles of plants and insects and make connections to the STEAM curriculum in our school. It is a wonderful place in which our students and the neighboring community can enjoy and learn.
The F. Lyman Winship Elementary provides a rigorous education through our STEAM-focused curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Our creative, stimulating, and supportive school environment encourages the development of independent thinkers and creative problem-solvers. We celebrate the diversity of our community and foster inclusive relationships and emotional intelligence to create responsible global citizens. We build a solid foundation for lifelong learning.
