As many people know the physical toll of cancer is enormous, but low-income patients feel a deeper burden during cancer treatment than most would ever imagine.
Patients are living in their cars during cancer treatment, or lose a job because of the impact of treatment and cannot feed and clothe their children, or don’t know when they will eat next. The effects of cancer are especially devastating to low-income patients.
The Jaime Wyatt Miller Cancer Compassion Endowed Fund at the PeaceHealth Southwest Foundation will provide critical funds needed to help these patients in need. These funds will lessen the burden for patients and their families so they can focus on healing.
By becoming a Willows Wonder Woman and raising money for Jaime’s Fund, you are giving strength to our patients in real, tangible ways that make their treatment easier. A taxi ride home from a radiation treatment instead of taking the bus, or walking; a grocery store gift card to buy dinner for a patient’s children, or even emergency shelter for people experiencing homelessness and difficult side-effects of treatment. Thank you for giving strength to cancer patients in our community
