Who is a Woman With Impact? She is a woman who influenced us growing up, someone who nurtured us when we were little, rescued us when we were in trouble, and encouraged us to aspire to be the best version of ourselves. She is a mother, a teacher, or a mentor.
She is the one who taught us how to read, how to eat right, and how to bandage ourselves when we got hurt. She is the one who waited up for us in the middle of the night. She is the one who taught us how to use a checkbook. She is the one who believed in us when no one else did.
For our clients, that person who brings encouragement to their lives—their Woman With Impact— is the very fabric of ChildServ. She is Kim Jackson, who teaches formerly homeless youth to take care of their apartments, and helps them find their way to a well-paying job. She is Rhonda Goshay, who spends her afternoons taking the teens in our group homes to tutoring—and her nights making sure they are home safe. She is Cynthia Arroyo, who goes into the homes of young mothers to bring books and guidance so their children will reach important developmental milestones.
