Team Whipple Warrior is back for our 2nd Year in a Row! As you know last year was my 1st Marathon experience, and I ran on behalf of my husband, Dakotah, who had undergone a pylorus-preserving Whipple in May of 2019. Because of my family and friends, we met our fundraising goal of $1000 benefiting the National Pancreas Foundation (thank you all for your support!) and Dakotah & I had the opportunity to meet other incredible pancreas disease warriors, and their caregivers, from all over the country during MCM weekend!
As you can see I'm back for a 2nd go at the Marathon (hoping to crush my one and only 26.2mi distance record), and Dakotah is considering racing the 10K!!!!!!
This fundraising effort, like so many, is important to those suffering from the disease it raises awareness for. The National Pancreas Foundation puts its donations to fund desperately needed pancreas-focused research, and support programs for patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
So on Sunday, October 25th 2020, the National Pancreas Foundation Team will be running through the streets of Washington, DC in support of all patients who experience any form pancreatic disease (be it pediatric pancreatitis, acute and/or chronic pancreatitis, or pancreatic cancer).
Thank you for supporting our mission and helping provide hope for those with pancreatic disease.
