Wetzel Mill, in Sumneytown, PA needs to have the sawmill foundation on the side of the main building rebuilt before a new sawmill shed can be constructed. Engineering work will need to be done to determine specifications for the repairs or replacement of stone walls.
In 2019 a new roof was installed, a cinder block wall covered, and new windows added to the second floor.
It is believed the building dates from the early 1800s. The mill building was last used as a wood working shop through the 1970s. Marlborough Area Preservation Society (MAPS) secured a lease from the township to restore the structure and tell the story of industry in the area.
