Hi everyone!! Well here I am, on the road to Boston!! I am thrilled to have been awarded a Boston Marathon waiver through my amazing running club, the Greater Lowell Road Runners. I am so honored to have the opportunity to be part of such a huge, momentous race and I just couldn’t let the opportunity go by without attempting to raise some money for a charity near and dear to my heart.
The Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange, Inc. (MARE) finds permanent adoptive homes for children and teens living in foster care. It provides vital services to these children by working with the Commonwealth’s Department of Children & Families and its contracted agencies to register each child that cannot be reunited with his or her birth family and then recruiting families that meet an individual child’s very specific needs. The children MARE works with include those considered most difficult to place – those with special needs, sibling groups, and teens. MARE’s goal is to find a permanent family for every child in Massachusetts foster care in need of an adoptive home. Over the past 60 years, MARE has helped more than 6,500 children join nurturing, stable homes through its history of innovative programming.
Please consider donating to this amazing cause so that MARE can help even more kids find their forever families in the years to come. See you on Boylston Street!!!
