Thank you for visiting my Boston Marathon fundraising page!
Last year, with the help of many of you, we did the impossible.
This runner who once weighed 286 pounds, ran his first marathon - cracking both goals set. First, we ran the marathon in less than 5 hours – the time to be exact was 4 hours and 52 minutes. This personal record was set during the worst weather the Boston Marathon had seen for 30 years!
Secondly, we conquered the target set of $7000, raising $9 302. With the Lord’s grace, your kindness and support we not only made it. We crushed it!
So what better challenge this year than to run another marathon and beat both records! So here are 2019’s targets: Let’s run the marathon in 4:45 or better and raise $10 000 or better.
This, our second marathon together, the Boston Marathon, takes place in less than 65 days!
Our participation in this world-famous race is for a cause greater than my fitness or breaking records – it is to help students from Minority Race backgrounds which, historically have received debilitatingly poor education.
Education is the best leveler of playing fields. That why this year I am running for A Better Chance Wellesley (ABC Wellesley) as they seek to collaborate on housing and mentoring gifted children of color in the Wellesley school system, amongst the best in the Union. See more about ABC here.
The ABC program is distinct in that it not only funds the education of excellent students but takes a supportive interest in each student’s wholistic educational life by facilitating a home environment that is conducive not only to learning but to achieving the student’s full potential.

This funding will help raise and support more leaders and game changers from minority race backgrounds and make the US and the global community better for it!
Every dollar and currency equivalent counts. (I am training in the sub-freezing temps, ice and snow so there are sacrifices being made – together!)
Thanks for your support - don't forget to forward this to anyone whom you think might want to donate too!
Let’s do this!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure – no matter where you are in the world! It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
