College Bound STL works with each of their students for up to seven years, from when they are just sophomores in high school - helping them finish high school, matriculate into college, and persist to the award of their bachelor degree. 90% of their students are the first in their families to earn a degree, and 88% of them qualified for free or reduced price lunch when they entered the program. Whereas just 14% of low-income, first-generation students receive their degree nationally, 55% of College Bound STL's students are awarded their bachelor degree! One of their students said, "College Bound has helped me to think broadly, outside the box, deep into my future. I have learned so much and will take what I have learned with me to inspire others" (Kiara Brown). See more details about their work at collegeboundstl.org. The Webster Staff Alliance Board invites you to join us in supporting their great work!
