Anyone who knew Andrew loved him. He was a devoted husband, father of 4, son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew and friend to all. His smile and laughter were contagious. Andrew was healthy, active and got regular physicals as a partner at Ernst and Young. On a planned vacation, he began experiencing intense abdominal pain and returned home early to see his doctor. There were no other warning signs. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer within 24 hours and died just 28 days later on May 12, 2018. Just 28 days from diagnosis to death. He had no family history of cancer and was only 47 years old, leaving 4 young children (18, 10, 8, & 6) without a father.
On March 29th the Hoybach family and friends will gather to remember Andrew, spread the word on the importance of early screening and continue the fight for other families. Please join our family in this mission to spread the word. Get Screened!! Colon cancer is so treatable if caught early. We only wish Andrew had that chance as we miss him everyday.
