When we began a new year in January, none of us could have predicted a global crisis impacting the entire world just a few months later. But while the world has been quarantined by COVID-19, the word and work of God continues. And at TTF, the mission has not changed. If anything, it has only become more urgent. Vulnerable families and children with special needs that we serve in Central America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia are at risk in ways unseen in recent years:
--Traditional supply chains have broken down, making access to some of life’s essentials — food, medical care, fuel, and basic supplies — a challenge each day.
--Centers used to teach and provide therapy for individuals with special needs have closed, causing caregivers to try to continue the work at home. Even though these centers have closed many of the staff are in regular contact with their students and patients, refusing to abandon these children.
--Many of our partners have been forced to make a shift in mission, now first and foremost fighting for the physical health and safety of those supported by their programs.
The situation around the world is not without hope. But it is critical. The costs of maintaining these life-changing programs have increased, while much needed funding from other sources has decreased. You can help and We can Press On together. The children impacted at the Tebow CURE Hospital in the Philippines, Ekisa Ministries in Uganda, Back2Back in Mexico, Down Guatemala in Guatemala, and both Hands and Feet and myLIFEspeaks in Haiti are so very precious to us at TTF. More importantly, they are precious to God – created, seen, chosen, and infinitely loved by Him.
In honor of #GivingTuesdayNow and over the course of the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing stories with you of how these incredible ministries are changing the world and moments of life-change that happen only through God’s grace and the generosity extended to us by our TTF family. As you hear and see the difference being made, would you prayerfully consider coming alongside us as We Press On? Thank you for your support of the ministry!
