About the Mural

You have seen photo mosaic pictures before.  They may look like the image of the American Flag from a distance, but as you come closer, you see that the flag image is really composed of hundreds of small photos of veterans, families, fireworks, sports cars, hot dogs,  apple pie, etc.

Now you have the opportunity to become a part of a photo mosaic mural here in Lake Havasu.

Digital Artist, Fred Hahn is working with the non-profit, Havasu Area Public Art (HAPA) to create a photo mosaic mural composed of thousands of photos that you donate.  The photos can be selfies, photos of your family, a memorial, a dog, a car, a boat, sunsets, fireworks, whatever you want.  (The artist retains the right to reject photos for inappropriate content or technical problems.)  Each photo will be edited (background removal, cropped, resized, color-matched, etc.) and blended into a 4" x 4" tile that will be carefully arranged to create a 12 foot x 36 foot mural. This mural will be on the east side of Shear Perfections Salon, 2186 McCulloch Blvd. near the corner of McCulloch and Acoma.

There will be two locations for individual photos on the mural, Standard Locations and Premium Locations.  Premium Locations will be photos mounted at eye-level (below 7').  Any location above of that area is a Standard Location.
