About the Mural

You have seen photo mosaic pictures before.  They may look like the image of the American Flag from a distance, but as you come closer, you see that the flag image is really composed of hundreds of small photos of veterans, families, fireworks, sports cars, hot dogs,  apple pie, etc.

Now you have the opportunity to become a part of a photo mosaic mural here in Lake Havasu.

Digital Artist, Fred Hahn is working with the non-profit, Havasu Area Public Art (HAPA) to create a photo mosaic mural composed of thousands of photos that you donate.  The photos can be selfies, photos of your family, a memorial, a dog, a car, a boat, sunsets, fireworks, whatever you want.  (The artist retains the right to reject photos for inappropriate content or technical problems.)  Each photo will be edited (background removal, cropped, resized, color-matched, etc.) and blended into a 4" x 4" tile that will be carefully arranged to create a 8 foot x 24 foot mural. This mural will be on the east side of Shabby Shack/Book Exchange, 2029 McCulloch Blvd.

The Premium Location have been SOLD OUT.  However, there are Standard Location (above 7 feet) still available fir $10/photo-tile location.  Despite the height, these photos are very visible because of the simple sky background.  The sooner you submit, the lower your photo will be on the mural!

Just follow these steps:

1) Click the Register button and donate $10 (Standard Location Donation). Sorry - PREMIUM Locations have been SOLD OUT.)  These donations are tax-deductible.

2) When you receive your Transaction Receipt via email, attach your photo to that email and forward it to WeAreHavasu@aol.com.

If you have any questions, please email your question to WeAreHavasu@aol.com.
