They came, they danced, and behind all the smiles and feet stomping under the hot sun, they learned that some of the recurring health problems Safari Doctors keeps treating in Kiangwe village are cholera and bilharzia. On that very same day, our dear friend and board member, Amina Abubakar, had a hard time going to sleep and instead of sinking into despair, asked "what can we do about it?" The answer is, we can all help provide clean water for Kiangwe. So, Amina started making phones calls and within 10 hours, we are already on our way to reaching the goal! So here we are planting the seed to establish a functional water catchment system before the next rainy season in April, 2019. This means repairing a damaged one and constructing a new system. If we raise more funds then we can even install a solar pump for ease of collection. Water is life. So let's get it where it's needed! To those that have already come on board, we salute you, and to those about to join our #JourneyForChange in Lamu, Kenya - karibuni!
