During the winter of 2013-2014, Kyiv was home to Revolution. It was not gentle. The city's heart became home to barricades, watchmen, armed units, heaps of cobblestones on icy streets and smoke from burning tires. A political awakening. To this day the war with Russia conitnues in the Donetsk, Luhansk regions. To this day Crimea is occupied by foreign Russian forces. The faces of those that gave their lives during the Revolution of Dignity have been displayed on a wall in front of the Metropolitan's Cathedral, The Golden Domed Monastery of St Michael.
The non-for profit, charitable arm of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, ELEOS-UKRAINE has decided that it is time to renew and upgrade this Wall of Remembrence. This hallowed place should be near and dear to every Ukrainian's heart, as we look into the eyes of the very people who gave the greatest gift, their lives for the freedom, independence and sovereignty of Ukraine.
I beleive that we can find the needed $10,000 in a matter of days, as we need 100 donors at $100 or 200 donors at $50. We will accept donations of any amount. We will transfer this money immeadiately to ELEOS-UKRAINE. All donors will be recognized as contibuting to this very important project. Let us make sure that those who gave their lives are never forgotten. If anyone has questions, please let me know. Heroes Never Die! Memory Eternal! God Bless Ukraine! John A.
