Q. Do I need to join a team?
A. You don’t have to. You can register as an individual.
Q. Are my loved ones recognized?
A. Yes – if you want them to be. You can make a donation in their name. There will be a memorial wall this year with the names of loved ones listed. If your loved one is not listed they can be added. Team names will be read during the remembrance ceremony. You also can write their name on the back of the t-shirt backers to wear during the walk.
Q: CAN I STILL JOIN YOU IF I HAVEN'T REGISTERED BEFORE THE DAY OF THE WALK?
A: Absolutely! Just be sure to come early and stop at registration to fill out a form. It only takes a couple of minutes!
Q: WHAT IF IT IS RAINING?
A: We are on rain or shine! Bring an umbrella or rain jacket if needed.
Q: WHAT IS THE ROUTE?
A: We start at Capitol Lake and go around State Capitol and the Governor’s mansion and finish back at Capitol Lake.
Q: HOW LONG IS THE ROUTE?
A: The Walk is 1.5.
Q: WHAT TIME DO WE BEGIN AND END?
A: Registration starts at 8:15 am at the Capitol Lake Visitor Center. The Program starts at 9:00 am and finishes by 11:00 am.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MONEY I COLLECTED?
A: Bring it with you to registration and we will make sure you get credit
Q: DO I HAVE TO WALK?
A: No! You are more than welcome to bring a lawn chair and sit during the walk.
Q: ARE DOGS ALLOWED AT THE WALK?
A: This is a pet-friendly event. Dogs must remain on their leash at all times during the walk.
