This Sunday, approximately 400 people are expected to come to Washington DC, the capital of the free world and my adopted hometown, and stand up for hateful, hurtful, un-American ideals. They can do that because of brave soldiers who have fought and continue to fight for the freedoms that define who our country is: freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of relifio, and freedom of the press. Those soldiers are male, female, black, brown, yellow, white, transgender, cisgender, gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, straight, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, atheist, pagan, citizens, immigrants and more...so many of them the very targets of the hate that 400 people will spew on Sunday.
Those 400 people are determined to march...
So let’s put their determination to work for love instead of hate.
Please join me and sponsor a marcher by donating $1 for each tenth of a mile they march. They are only going 0.8 miles so it is just $8. But if we find 400 “sponsors” we can ensure that each and every marcher can go home Sunday night knowing they they personally helped us raise funds to reject their message of hate.
Help make sure love is louder than hate, $8 at a time.
