5k Fun Run/Walk for Angel Babies

The recent loss of their daughter, Blakely, has inspired Cody and Heather Baker to create this event to not only bring together families who have experienced stillbirth and infant loss, but also their surrounding community.  We hope to raise awareness, remember these sweet angel babies, and honor them publicly with a fun family freindly event. We couldn't think of a better day to celebrate these sweet little ones then Mother's Day (we know what a hard day this can be for many becasue of their loss) so please bring the whole family as we celebrate these beautiful angel babies and their parents.

All of the money raised from this walk will go to Walk with Me, a non-profit organization that provides families with emotional and financial resources such as care packages, counseling, support groups, funds for life celebrations, and other costs associated with the death of a child. We are also excited to be raising money to donate cuddle cots (a device that gives families with stillborn babies longer time to say goodbye)  to hospitals in Colorado.

*We encourage you to wear anything special with the Angel Baby's name that you would like to honor*

This is the story of a beautiful little girl who has and is and will continue to change lives....and she didn't have to stay very long to do that.

On January 8, 2019 we held our sweet baby in our arms for the first time, the last time and the only time, but she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.  Our sweet angel baby, Blakely Grace was born into this world silent, just two weeks shy of her due date. Our journey to parenthood has been one marked with lots of waiting, prayers, questioning, trust, happiness, and sorrow.  After struggling through infertility and several miscarriages, we realized quickly what a miracle this pregnancy was.  Initially, after learning of her passing we were tempted to buy into the lie that our answer to prayer was destroyed and that her story was over.  Although we are completely heartbroken and crushed in spirit, we know without a doubt what a miracle Blakely is to us because of our hope in Jesus, and not a day goes by that we are not thankful for her life.  We will be the voice that she was never given and will share our story to help others who are walking this difficult road, to help them see they are not alone.
