My daughter, Ashley, was diagnosed in March 2002 with an inoperable brain tumor. We were in disbelief and didn't know where to turn. Luckily, through our journey, we met many wonderful doctors and specialists who have treated Ashley, and we can thankfully say to this date... the tumor has not grown in size and she is doing great!! That is almost 17 years! FAITH has kept us going, and the many, many prayers and support of our family and friends. In the beginning, Ashley felt alone, and "different"... that is, until she met Mark Linder, who started this Walk. Mark showed Ashley such compassion, and listened to her, and understood things she was going through that we couldn't. The Walk for the Mind begin a yearly tradition for our family. It is our day to remember those we have lost to this ugly disease, and yet, celebrate the many years we have had with Ashley, and with God's blessing, we will continue to have! Research has come a long way in this disease, yet, there needs to be so much more! Also, we need more public awareness of brain tumors and support the Survivors! I ask that you please donate what you are able, and know that the Survivors and their families truly appreciate your help! God bless!
