Over the 2018 summer I traveled to Nairobi, Kenya. While staying there we traveled to the New Mercy Care Center school located in the slums. The school is like nothing you ever could have imagined. There is no electricity or running water, but that isn’t what stuck with me. What stuck with me were the kids and teachers that went there. The kids were always happy to see us and treated us as if we were saints and the teachers were the poorest people I have ever met. I will never forget this one little boy who I nicknamed Harold, he was a character. He was always singing or dancing and I immediately bonded with him. My friend Kyle and I taught him a little bit of English and he taught us some Swahili. The hardest part of the whole trip was leaving him behind because here I was only coming for two days and thinking it was harsh living while these kids experienced it every single day of their lives. I am looking to raise as much money as possible so that they can put a second story onto the current school. Adding a second story will allow the kids to attend two more years of school which will complete their elementary education. Please donate because these kids need it more than anyone in the world. Anything at all would help them out.
For my 14th Birthday (October 11th) I would like to try to reach my fund raising goal. I am asking instead of any gifts to please donate to my campaign.
