Below you'll see last year's description. We donated $4K to Girls Leading Girls last year and this year we're joining forces and partnering with them. If you want to join the walk, let me know and I'll provide details. We're starting in Marin this time and shooting for 35 miles. I used to be a teacher at an inner-city High School in San Francisco (http://leadershiphigh.org/). I learned a lot about education, personal patience/discipline, and building a diverse network. Most importantly, I discovered just how important it is to support young people. When you're there every day in the trenches, it's abundantly clear they deserve the best shot at succeeding -- and that we won't survive without their success. Here's your chance to help out! My parents are big hikers and have semi-seriously been threatening to walk from Davis to San Francisco for the better part of my life. Awhile back I decided I wanted to walk the perimeter of San Francisco instead as it's a bit safer and obviously quite a bit more beautiful. My Mom decided to get it kicked into gear so along with a couple others, we'll walk the roughly 33 miles around SF.
