Hi there. Thank you for visiting my page and considering either joining me on this walk and/or donating to this cause. Camp OKIZU (oak-eye-zoo) is a very special place providing peer support, respite, mentoring, and recreational programs to meet the needs of all members of families affected by childhood caner, not only to the children who are diagnosed with cancer but also their siblings, who are also enduring the emotional pain while their sisters/bothers are going through the treatment. Can't say enough how important and special this place is.
We all hope one day, all cancer will be cured, but till that day is here, there is Camp OKIZU for the them. No amount is too small. Please consider to donate anything you can spare to give those kids the opportunity to be kids again.
It costs about $1,000 to send one child to Camp Okizu for the summer;
It costs about $500 to provide one weekend Family Camp experience;
It costs about $100 to feed a camper for one week;
It costs $50 to provide round-trip bus transportation for each of our campers.
I thank you profusely from the bottom of my heart for supporting this cause. Please let me know if you would like to join me to walk on April 22. I look forward to hearing from you.
p.s. my profile picture is an art piece done by my 3-year-old Emerson. I was letting her being a kid and using my face as her canvas.
