Thank you for supporting the 12th Annual Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run. Over the past eleven years, we've been able to use the money raised from the Walk to fund the operation of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Ozanam Center Food Mission at 1306 Monroe Street in Memphis.
The Ozanam Center is critically important to the people we serve. It's the only food mission in midtown open everyday for lunch, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Between 175-200 men, women, and children come in for a warm meal, gracious hospitality, and to forget the pain of the streets.
Volunteers from all faiths and backgrounds give their time to prepare up to 200 meals each and everyday for those who need assistance. Other volunteers work to provide food, supplies, and other donations that make it possible to continue our mission of charity.
Since 2016, the upstairs of the Ozanam Center has been utilized for the program "A Room At the Inn". This program provides overnight accomidations at the center, an evening meal, breakfast, and a to-go lunch for 15-16 homeless friends.
All of the charitable work mentioned above would not be possible without your support. Thank you again for your compassion and generosity.
