Story

WAGON WARRIORS Kids helping kids fight cancer The Wagon Warriors campaign supports Colton’s Cure, a foundation that helps alleviate the cancer burden on Wisconsin families battling pediatric cancer. It also will help raise critical funds for groundbreaking cancer research through the American Cancer Society. THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE WAGONS Colton’s Cure was created by a beautiful little boy named Colton. Colton was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma at the young age of two and half. Although Colton’s time with us was short, he left behind a legacy through his foundation. Colton’s mom, Tara came up with an incredible idea to provide wagons instead of wheelchairs to hospitals so kids can feel like kids during treatment. Local sponsors generously donated wagons for our campaign. Local schools have joined our efforts by decorating these wagons, which will be donated to area hospitals.

HOW YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT THE WAGON WARRIORS CAMPAIGN?

1. Donate to support childhood cancer research Each participating school is competing to win a $1,500, $1,000 or $500 grant donated by Associated Bank! Check out each school’s wagon on our website: “Vote” for your favorite wagon by making a donation to a school’s fundraising page. The three schools who collect the most donations will be awarded the grants! All monetary donations will fund childhood cancer research through the American Cancer Society.

2. Donate items for the Colton’s Cure donation drive. Visit a local Associated Bank branch and help us fill these wagons with items from Colton’s Cure’s wish list! All donated items will support families in Wisconsin battling pediatric cancer through the Colton’s Cure Foundation. Learn more about how you can support Colton's Cure at: www.coltonscure.org
