To many, there is no diagnosis more threatening or intimidating than cancer. The very idea of watching the doctor walking out to the waiting room and saying the words, "you have cancer" with a disconsolate face is truly one of the worst experiences any person could go through. A person's mind immediately transitions to a cataclysmic state and the only way besides medical attention that could help a person in such a state would be "hope". This is where the American Cancer Society comes in and ensures that all cancer patients in the United States are given the same amount of love, care, and attention that they deserve. The American Cancer Society is a non profit organization that aims to work with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities to join their mission.
There are thousands of cancer patients in the entirety of the United States and the American Cancer Society is an organization that heavily contributes to the treatment and care for these patents. The Vista Ridge High School FCCLA club will be honoring our friends and family during this special fundraising event. I’d love for those you know who have been touched by cancer - friends and loved ones - to be part of it too.
"You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live"
