ABOUT DANA STILLMAN
Dana has worked 20 years in the design industry and is currently Chief of Inspiration at her own firm, Inspire Graphic Design, LLC. A CU graduate, her personal motto is that “you’re never too old and life should always be fun”! Dana stays young as a wife and mother to two kids who are 10 and 13. Animal lovers at heart, their family also includes 4 fur babies of both the canine and feline variety. Together they enjoy all the outdoors has to offer with skiing in the winter and camping on the river in the summer. Dana loves to travel and spent her youth backpacking throughout SE Asia. She even taught English for a year in Korea.
Dancing is not a new skill for Dana. She has been an avid dancer since junior high and competing on dance teams through high school. Life took its course and she got away from it until she found Streetside Studios here in Boulder. Dana learned about Dancing with Boulder Stars when she performed with her dance troupe from Streetside during the intermission of the event one year. Dana is representing the WILD Council (Women Inspiring Leadership Development) this year and strongly believes in the mission of the YWCA Boulder County. She believes that it is impossible to move forward as a human race if we continue to stagnate in racism and sexism. She chose to participate this year as a celebrity because she thought it would be an amazing way she could contribute to making the world a better place…through dance. www.inspire-graphicdesign.com
ABOUT MICHAEL JAYCOX
Michael has been dancing professionally since he was sixteen years old and has been teaching for nearly a decade throughout Colorado. His personal motto is “if you’re not having fun than you’re probably doing it wrong”. When he’s not dancing there’s a good chance you can find him writing which has been a passion of his from a young age. A Colorado native, Michael decided to participate in this year’s event as soon as he heard the mission it was supporting. He believes that it is becoming more and more clear that the societal disadvantages placed upon so many aren’t growing so much as they are finally coming to light after decades of quiet acceptance and that it will take the effort and sacrifice of groups like the YWCA to spark the evolution that our country and culture so desperately need.
