Brandy and Maren are competing in Dancing with Boulder Stars 2019! Based on the hit TV show, this event features local celebrities who are partnered with professional dancers. The teams undergo an exhilarating rehearsal process which culminates in a live dance competition at the historic Boulder Theater on Wednesday, November 6th. Fans of the teams vote for their favorite via donations which benefit YWCA Boulder County. The team that raises the most wins the championship! These contributions support essential services in our community, such as emergency drop-in child care, youth empowerment programs, and racial equity programs. ABOUT BRANDY LEMAE
V. Brandy D. LeMae is an artist and a designer. She and her husband founded WORKSHOP8 (workshop8.us) where she is CEO. Born in Los Angeles, Brandy moved to Lyons at a young age and grew up in the small town. When her daughter Carmen was born she struggled, like many, to balance her work life with being a new mom. Brandy luckily found the support she needed at Parenting Place support groups hosted at YWCA Boulder County.
Though she claims she is a terrible dancer, Brandy was born to perform. She is no stranger to the stage as both a model and performance artist. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Catamounts Theater and is a co-producer of Blue Dime Cabaret. Brandy looks forward to learning to be a little more graceful on her feet while participating in DWBS while supporting a cause she believes in at the same time.
