Everyone deserves to feel the joy of gliding on the snow beneath them, feeling the fresh powder on their face, and smiling from the exhaustion. After experiencing this in Alaska and Oregon, this is my second year skiing in Colorado with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). They offer adaptive lessons for those with disabilities in a variety of action sports, adventure sports and competitive programs. Athletes with any physical, cognitive, emotional or behavioral diagnosis can participate in sports and recreation programs year-round in Colorado’s Front Range and mountains.
I've have seen first hand the smiles that are created by NSCD's programs, which is why I'm fundraising for this amazing organization this fall. I hope that you will support me in my efforts to ensure these adaptive programs will continue to grow. If you are able, please donate to my fundraiser! Every bit helps, and it can go a long way to providing adaptive sports for those with disabilities.
The Give4NSCD campaign is lead by team of NSCD volunteers with the goal of providing funding for NSCD's adaptive and therapeutic programming for years to come.
The driving force behind NSCD is a team of 1,300 volunteers who donate their time to changing the lives of others. Without us, the NSCD would not be able to positively impact more than 4,000 children and adults who live with a disability every year. Over 96% of these participants said the NSCD helped improve their confidence, their self-esteem, and their quality of life. We hope that you will help us change the lives of as many individuals as possible, and help grow this impact even more.
