Give a Child a Voice
Donations to Voices for Children's campaign will be matched $1-for-$1 by a generous local donor.
During this campaign, your donation can serve even more children in foster care. From now until April 12, every dollar will be matched until we reach our goal of $10,000!
Our CASA Program
It would take 146 yellow school buses to carry all of the children in San Diego and Riverside Counties’ foster care systems this year. These children are forced to navigate new homes and new schools, often playing “catch up” with their education. Studies show that 50% of children in foster care will never graduate high school or obtain a GED.
Worst of all, these children were removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. They feel completely alone in an unstable world.
That’s where CASAs – or Court Appointed Special Advocates – come in.
While the foster care system comprises many talented and passionate professionals, it is also overburdened. CASA volunteers devote their attention to one child or a sibling group, closely monitoring each child’s situation and ensuring their needs are met.
A CASA is often the only consistent adult presence in a foster child’s life—the one person a child can truly count on who is not paid to oversee their welfare.
Voices for Children is the designated nonprofit that operates the CASA program for San Diego and Riverside Counties. We recruit, train, and support CASAs, who are matched with a child or sibling group in foster care and advocate to ensure their needs are being met.
Help Our Community Thrive
Through the ‘A Community Thrives’ fundraising challenge, we have the opportunity to raise funds for our CASA programs while competing in fun weekly challenges.
We hope you will consider supporting the life-changing advocacy work of our CASA volunteers. We are thankful for every donation, whether small or large!
