Background
VOICE OF HOPE - 1287 AM (50,000 Watt) is the only Christian radio station in Israel and is broadcasting a message of Peace through the Gospel of Jesus to over 40 million people living in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan. At night, our radio broadcast reaches into Turkey and Egypt.
We signed on the air March 28th, 2017 with a small paid staff and passionate volunteers.
VOICE OF HOPE - 1287 AM is donor-funded (no public dollars) and built from the ground up. Our radio station is located on the Southern Shore of the Sea of Galilee, in the historic building where the Israel-Jordan peace accords were signed over 20 years ago.
We are now faced with a dire situation where we must go public and ask for these emergency funds.
What Happened Voice of Hope has been informed by the Israeli Government that our operating status has to be to changed immediately. We will now be an Israeli non-profit, which should be beneficial in the long term. However in the short term, this has resulted in a one time, unexpected, VERY LARGE tax bill being levied, which is due immediately ($300,000 US Dollars).
God has blessed us! Some of our faithful donors have graciously redirected their donations normally given for our quarterly operations to solve this tax crisis.
Praise The Lord!
However, this means now we are struggling to make the next three $ 200,000 US quarterly payments to operate the station (taxes, electricity, small payroll, engineering and tower lease).
The next $ 200,000 US payment is due May 20th!
And we need to secure the next two quarterly payments quickly.
Our Need
To keep us on the air for the next 9 months, we are prayerfully looking for 60,000 people to give just $10 each.
This one-of-a-kind Christian radio station reaches persecuted Arab Christians and millions of the Muslim faith with the Gospel message of Hope should not…cannot…be silenced!
They want and need to hear Christ’s Word. It is their HOPE! It seems inconceivable that this Godly station would be forced to close just after its second year.
